Walk to Rivendell and Beyond - There and Back Again Challenge! Can't Post

Greetings and welcome to this week's edition of the Walk, where we follow in the footsteps of our favorite characters in Middle Earth by tracking our physical activity mileage in this Earth. Please forgive my tardiness this week; I'm in the midst of working on an Alternative Christmas Fair that's had me accumulating all sorts of wonderful mileage for next week's post - and I'm tired!

So how go your journeys?

My progress:
Miles covered this week: 15
Cumulative miles: 1703
Goal: There and Back Again!

Last week wasn't great for me, exercise-wise. Beamer, on the other hand, has been in a play at school that involves running around on stage a bit, so she's done better. Not only that, but the play was excellent - a series of skits written by the students aimed at bullying awareness, including one of the best anti-cyberbullying pieces I've seen. Not that I'm a proud mom or anything...

Beamer's progress:
Miles covered this week: 18
Cumulative miles: 1612
Goal: Group Challenge

Seeing as how your slow weeks cover about the same distance as my good ones, [In reply to] Can't Post

I think you're doing great, gramma!

I'm wondering - would it be interesting/useful/fun to try to connect with the Reading Room on this LOTR walk we're starting, since they're starting a read-through of LOTR at about the same time? What do you think?

Feel free to update you miles here! Since today is a bit busy for me, I'll update Beamer's and my mileages next week.
