Thorin's "suicide run"

Well there was a thread awhile back that suggested Thorin would literally commit suicide by jumping from the waterfall - dumb rumor that was fortunately debunked, but it did get me thinking. What if Thorin's "suicide run" is actually his going out alone to face Azog? I am speculating here based on some of the images I've seen in "The Last Goodbye" video. It appears he DOES go out there alone, and perhaps is followed by Dwalin, Fili & Kili, which of course echoes his charge in AUJ. It would set up the tragic deaths as mentioned in the book, yet of course be very different in execution. And it again makes me fearful of Dwalin's fate. Just because he didn't die in the book doesn't mean he'll live in the movie! And that would make me cry harder than the other 3 put together, because it would REALLY be unexpected! And could also explain why he didn't go with Balin to Moria - but that's another subject.
Why yes, I DO look like Anna Friel!

I was hoping that Thorin's charge would carry the emotional weight of Theoden's arrival at the Pelenor which is my favorite moment in cinema. The soundtrack that accompanies the charge, the high or sharp fiddle/violin during Rohan theme is instant tears.
Faramir: “I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”

I think that maybe this later review was a strategy to distract of that review that steted Thorin

I posted on another forum that the Sons of Durin sample from 0:50 on reminds me very much of the music that plays behind Theoden's last speech (start at 1:10). They may well be trying to connect these two moments, which do share many thematic elements (fallen king redeeming himself through victory in hopeless battle, but paying with his own life).
