Such as the close-up of Thranduil's eyes mirroring the close-up of Galadriel's. The video is very cleverly put together, highlighting these little nuances. Showing how the past can influence the future

So far I don't really care for the song, but then again I didn't much like "I See Fire" at first, either. It grew on me, and this one might, but I don't like it as well as Billy's singing "The Road Goes Ever On." HOWEVER that was a really amazing video, trying hard not to cry... I MUST have an LoTR marathon weekend before seeing BOT5A! Probably on Black Friday while everyone else is gone - yeah, that'll work!
Why yes, I DO look like Anna Friel!

Split up into smaller groups Nori, Ori & Dori (Brothers) Bifur, Bofur, Bombur (Cousinz) Balin, Oin, Gloin (The OLD Guard) That way we have THEM Doing Different kinds of fighting in Different parts of the Valley... Makes Perfect that Dwalin would not leave Thorinz side AND we NEED F & K with him...like in the BOOK! bom

Perfect accompaniment to a song I wasn't initially all that moved by. This made my day and restored my hope. As a sidenote, are those Dwalin, Fili, and Kili I see with Thorin on Ravenhill? And is Thorin using Orcrist like in the bts shots we saw a few months ago?
"After all, I believe that legends and myths are largely made of 'truth', and indeed present aspects of it that can only be received in this mode; and long ago certain truths and modes of this kind were discovered and must always reappear." Professor Tolkien, 1951

He looks as bad as he did in AUJ to me Strange how people see things differently, there are parts in these films that I think are 100% believable and other people hate and there are other parts that look bad to me and other people think are great.

It doesn't look any worse than the prosthetic orcs. You can tell the orcs in LotR are guys in prosthetics and you can tell the orcs in the Hobbit are CGI. But neither of those points bother me. Because orcs aren't a real thing, so there's no reference as to whether they look real or not.

My favorite may be the line with 'bless' and its the King-to-be in frame. Wonderful. That did it for me, tear-wise.

For some, it may be, for whatever reason, easier to "believe" a guy in prosthetics vs a CG character, or vice versa. It doesn't really affect me either way, thankfully.
