The white tree, not very outrageous i know :) , but I have a keychain with it and love it :) or some elven leaf motif. I'd put it on my lower abck or tummy if it wasn't permanent AND wouldn't hurt LOL

it's not really outrageous, just totally beautiful. It is a Mallorn leaf, on my left upper arm. I adore it. Mr River Woman thought it was a fake, transfer one for about three months. Then when it didn't wash off, he got suspicious! However, I would love a horse of Rohan (similar to the one on the banners) across my right shoulder. I would just have to think of a way to keep it hidden from Mr RW. Suggestion on a postcard please.

But if I were getting really dressed up for some occasion, it might be cool to have a small painted "tattoo" on one side of my face, such as an elanor or simbelmyne or mallorn tree.

the One Ring around your neck, complete with the "Ring Spell". Obviously, you couldn't do the part on the inside of the ring, unless you had it tatooed in your throat.

You know that little picture straight up above us of Frodo following Sam following Gollum? I'd do just the two hobbit on the length of the inside of my arm! On the other arm, I'd have the whole Fellowship walking single-file silouette we see so often. For now, though... I have the Tolkien symbol there in my avatar on my left wrist. :) I absolutely adore it! I can't let my Mom know. She's kill me! *shudder*
Trust him... The Hobbit is coming! "Barney Snow was here." ~Hug like a hobbit!~ "In my heaven..." TORn's Observations Lists

The black speech, One Ring spell would be awesome. But I'd do it around the arm. You know, the way that barbed wire thing is. But really I'd get a tattoo on the arm, any type of Elvish script would be my choice.

Since I'm a big wuss when it comes to pain. But as for design, I'd get a mallorn leaf or an elanor blossom. I guess if you want outrageous, there's always a fell beast to be applied across your back! But I'm not the tattoo type.

I would ink my back and chest up all the time. I giant Treebeard face that covers my back appeals quite a lot at the moment. Or, a collection of all the different swords all over my arms, maybe 6-8 inches in length up and down my arms with a name below. Wow, I like that!

it'd have to be the Doors of Moria - Speak Friend and Enter. Actually I suppose that's a little risque...! On a more practical note, I did intend to have the White Tree of Gondor join the mallorn leaf and Sindarin script on my right arm... but I didn't leave enough room between that and my shoulder. It'd be the White Shrub of Gondor every time I raised my arm, which just wasn't satisfactory - and I wanted to keep the decoration all in one place. *sigh* Bad planning...

"Speak Friend & Enter" might be more than a little risque, I guess location counts for a lot. Sometimes we really need an 18-and-old forum. A lot of funny things spring to mind. Of course, TORn founders never intended such a thing so I will keep my thoughts to myself.

Here you are over 50 and you think you may 'get in trouble' with your mom. You gotta love it. Gad i hope we all never 'grow up'. Remember that shot in the FOTR where Gandalf, Frodo, Bill and Sam are leaving the shire as silhouettes against that outrageous sunset? I have a picture of that i took off the tv screen. That would be an eye opener, and no mistake.

I have this thought of getting the whole Gray Havens shot across my back. The flower and the leave would never go out of style. The new colors they use now are so bright and they don't fade easily either. The pain is not that intense either unless it is on your side. Cute stuff......I am talking about that bundle of joy now you understand
