Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Can't wait to hear it. Smile

Even the name [In reply to] Can't Post

has got me reduced to tears. When the song starts to play I will not be able to contain myself. I wonder if this is the end credits song and whether Billy Boyd will be the singer...

I would think this is implied... [In reply to] Can't Post

Why bring him in to help write the song if he's not the singer? Between that and the use of "Edge of Night" in the teaser trailer, I would be SHOCKED if he's not the singer.

Sadly not "The Road Goes Ever On".
And if Billy sings it no female singer. Billy sings great. I had the opportunity to hear him Live at Ring*Con 2005. Great voice with much passion.
But my favorite would have been another title.

What a title! [In reply to] Can't Post

It really is, in a meta way, going to be our Last Goodbye to Jackson's cinematic adaptation of Middle-earth - exhilarating works of art that have entertained and inspired us for the past 13 years.

This is essentially the swan song of this particular vision of Middle Earth, and I'm really confident Boyd would be able to tug at our heart strings. One last time.

This is interesting [In reply to] Can't Post

Good find. Probably a topic for another thread, but should we be concerned/disappointed that Bloom is among the Best Supporting Actor candidates and Connolly, Weaving, Nesbitt and Stott aren't? It might suggest at least that they aren't at all that prominent. I mean, they even submitted Blanchett for AUJ, which might suggest her role is even smaller here.

Yeah, not a very promising [In reply to] Can't Post

Orlando Bloom over Ken Stott or, indeed, any of the dwarves? Evangeline Lilly over Cate Blanchett? Even if Blanchett had only a 10th of Lilly's screentime she'd be a better Oscar bait.

I certainly hope Galadriel will have more screentime than in AUJ (and Tauriel less than in DOS), but it doesn't seem very promising for either case.
