Serendipity! [In reply to] Can't Post

That is amazing - and I don't believe in "coincidence", you were meant to take that tour, Uncle Baggins was following his heart! Cool

How about that!

That must have been very moving for all concerned.

I have been reading it. What a story!

Hope you sell more books there! This is really wonderful.

Uncle Baggins' reaction was to say "Thanks, Dad." :-) // [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks. [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm predictable. I like to wear all my large rectangular and circular shawls wrapped around and draped over one shoulder, with a pretty shawl pin or brooch to secure it there. This one is big enough to be pulled up like a hood, too, if necessary.

I found the leafy collection, but my dragon shawl/sash pin is still missing... Mad

Our local farm [In reply to] Can't Post

has apple cider to die for. This stuff is the best i have ever had, makes the store bought stuff ...Tongue.

Young sil took some pictures as mrs sil and i did the 1mi fun walk/run and 5k respectively. Both of our performance were a bit above our expectations. Mrs. sil actually managed a little jog the whole way in her successful journey back from back surgery and i managed a 23:19 despite minimal running and a still maximal 'navel station'.

Young sil has quite a few races to go, about 8 or nine.

" 'Fair lady Goldberry!' said Frodo at last, feeling his heart move with a joy that he did not understand. He stood as he had at times stood enchanted by fair elven-voices; but the spell that was now laid upon him was different: less keen and lofty was the delight, but deeper and nearer to mortal heart; marvellous and yet not strange."

Chapter VII: In the House of Tom Bombadil; FOTR's

Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted."

Congrats, Daniel! // [In reply to] Can't Post

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

Do we find happiness so often that we should turn it off the box when it happens to sit there?
