Thanks for posting [In reply to] Can't Post

this. I was going to be very disappointed if Gollum wasn't #1. I wish they had shown him in The Hobbit, though. He looked good in LOTR but he looked even better in The Hobbit.

I lost count ;) [In reply to] Can't Post

of how many of these were Andy Serkis Sly. He is just amazing! Beyond the body movements, his voice is incredible - it is so completely different in all those different roles.

Thanks for posting. This was a very enjoyable 'Top 10' Smile.

Interesting [In reply to] Can't Post

I didn't realize Toby Jones played Dobby and Alan Tudyk played Sonny in I, Robot, both excellent performances. And of course AS and BC were great.

Four! [In reply to] Can't Post

As King Kong in Jackson's "King Kong", as Captain Haddock in "The Adventures of Tintin", as Caesar in the "Planet of the Apes" reboot series, and of course a Gollum. They did show a "Hobbit" scene of him in that last clip.

I only watched the first "Apes" film because I knew he was in it...he's amazing. Both films in that series are IMO well worth seeing. They're fine movies all around, but his performances (even with very few spoken lines, communicating so much with body language an expressions) are great!

lol it seemed like almost all of them :D [In reply to] Can't Post

He really is amazing. I agree, he was excellent as Caesar! And I wasn't even aware at first that he played Captain Haddock until I checked the credits, he is so very different in each role, both body movement and voice work. I bet - and hope very much - that someday he will be honored with a special award for his motion capture work. He not only was the trailblazer but he set the bar so high!

What a great run! [In reply to] Can't Post

The only one I don't agree with this Carrey's Scrooge. I can't get away from it being Carrey :(

It's also great that most of these were Serkis and/or Weta achievements! They worked on Avatar and I Robot, too!
