Welcome to Mad-Libs!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hail and well met fellow TORnsibs on this Anniversary of CHOW!

For this special celebration we will be assembling a collection of Mad Libs. If you have ever played, you know how much fun these can be!! Laugh Basically we write a story, remove several words, and allow you to submit substitutions. However, since you do not know the context of the story, hilarity unavoidably ensuesSly. Remember, these are specially Hobbit themed, so you might not want to give too many Middle-earth related words. And so, without further ado, I introduce our Middle-Earth Mad Libs.

The Rules

Simple, just submit your words in accordance with the parts of speech requested. Please number them in accordance with the list and put them in the header of your post.

Please limit your participation to no more than 3 words per submission, and wait a few hours between your next post. Let's just give every one a fair chance to contribute. I have a goodly number of opening, as you can see, so don't be shy answering twice or more!!

Quick English review:

Noun- It names a person, place, or thing. (box, spear, hippopotamus, riverbed, etc...)

Plural Noun- It names more than one thing (boxes, spears, hippopotami, riverbeds, etc...)

Verb- It is an action word that describes what a noun does (run, slap, laugh, jump, dive, etc...)

Past Tense Verb- Something that was done in the past (ran, slapped, laughed, jumped, dove, etc...)

Adjective [Adj.]- It describes a noun. (Red, small, crazy, wide, rabid, etc...)

Adverb [Adv.]- It describes how something is done and usually ends in the letters -ly (quickly, sloppily, sadly, angrily, etc...)

Part of the Body - Self explanatory, but let's stay within the TOS please, and keep it PG.

Number- Anything from 1 to infinity

Living thing- Anything that is alive (moss, cat, ferret, dinosaur, warg, ect...)

Occupation- Anything someone does as a job (Janitor, Politician, Policeman, Golfer, etc...)

Name- Can be any person: historical, literary, a TORnsib, anyone as long as they would be fairly well-known

Please number your submissions in accordance with the list:

Ex: The Post says-

9. Verb ending in -ed
10. Noun
11. Verb

You write

9. Heaved
10. Automobile
11. Grow

Just a few clarifications and suggestions.

Threaded mode may be best to see which words have been provided already. The submissions should be numbered and in the subject line, thus you will know which words are already taken.

Remember, you can add more words, just give a few hours between your submissions.

Suddenly the king cried to Snowmane and the horse sprang away. Behind him his banner blew in the wind, white horse upon a field of green, but he outpaced it. After him thundered the knights of his house, but he was ever before them. Éomer rode there, the white horsetail on his helm floating in his speed, and the front of the first éored roared like a breaker foaming to the shore, but Théoden could not be overtaken. Fey he seemed, or the battle-fury of his fathers ran like new fire in his veins, and he was borne up on Snowmane like a god of old, even as Oromë the Great in the battle of the Valar when the world was young. His golden shield was uncovered, and lo! it shone like an image of the Sun, and the grass flamed into green about the white feet of his steed. For morning came, morning and a wind from the sea; and the darkness was removed, and the hosts of Mordor wailed, and terror took them, and they fled, and died, and the hoofs of wrath rode over them. And then all the host of Rohan burst into song, and they sang as they slew, for the joy of battle was on them, and the sound of their singing that was fair and terrible came even to the City:

There's a Great Darkness over the Pelennor,
There's a Great Darkness over the Pelennor!
Our spears’ nowhere as high as an Oliphaunt’s eye,
And the field’s full of orcs, wargs and huge Olog-hai!

Oh what a Rohirrim morning,
Oh what a Rohirrim day!
We've got a wonderful feeling,
We shall kill thousands today!

Oh, we’ll kill us some Easterling Variags,
And know we’re not given to idle brags,
We’ll battle and vanquish the Black Serpent King,
And even an undying dwimmerlaik thing!

Oh what a Rohirrim morning,
Oh what a Rohirrim day!
We've got a wonderful feeling,
We shall kill thousands today!

After Richard Burbage... [In reply to] Can't Post

..known for starring in roles with 800+ lines, a size that was rare in Elizabethan theater. A "burbagesque" actor would be one capable of playing a role consisting of 800 or more lines, though one might argue for "alleynesque" in honor of contemporary Edward Alleyn, who was known to accomplish the same. Alleyn was played by Ben Affleck in Shakespeare in Love (1998). Burbage was played by Martin Clunes.
