Ah, very nice Thorin pics! I think this one's^ my favorite. It has Thorin's #Majestic scowl and Leggy's butt in the same pic! Here's another lovely Thorin fan pic from DeviantArt in celebration of your first year on TORn. May you have many more happy, Hobbity, TORn filled years to come! (click pic for original)

Glad these photos can be enjoyed on multiple levels. Thanks for sharing the artwork, I like the re-working of that shot placing Thorin in the forest.

Interesting concept, anniversary mathoms.
I'm a lurker. Fan of both books and movies; it seems I have severely misnamed myself... for the moment. Appreciating Thranduil, thread by thread: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X (Tis true! More appreciation threads for Thranduil exist than ME movies) Thrall Wars!: What business do Elves, Dwarves or Men(?) have with drooling thralls, yea, with smartphones in tow, unto the slopes of Erebor? ... oh, yes, the Hobbit's lingering in some shadows, ever ready to swoop to the hairy rescue. Take cover if you dare! Teh partsies: Prologue (aka the 'tater-mash of whatever came before), two, three, three-appendix: An Unexpected Flashback by Kerewyn, four, five (new, posted 20 August) "BoFA"= The Battle || "BotFA"/"tBofTA" = The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies ======= Middle-earth dispatches out of the lurkmirk

a red-blooded male dwarf simply cannot resist a pretty face with fluffy sideburns. (*pssst - he doesn't need to know they're fake*) Cheers!

Hope you had a fine day.
" 'Fair lady Goldberry!' said Frodo at last, feeling his heart move with a joy that he did not understand. He stood as he had at times stood enchanted by fair elven-voices; but the spell that was now laid upon him was different: less keen and lofty was the delight, but deeper and nearer to mortal heart; marvellous and yet not strange." Chapter VII: In the House of Tom Bombadil; FOTR's Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. Tolkien

Thanks! So where are we going in the van? I heard there was an abandoned castle near Mirkwood that's probably haunted - we should check it out.
