MythSoc Inkling's Sudies Winner Our Own VisualWeasel Can't Post

I just heard that the winner of the 2014 Mythopoeic Society Inkling's Studies award is none other than Jason Fisher, better known around here as VisualWeasel, for his book Tolkien and the Study of his Sources.

Very well deserved, indeed!

I've just opened the forums homepage, and noticed a familiar name as the last person to post in the RR.
Wonderful to hear from you again! How are you keeping?

Thanks, everyone! :) [In reply to] Can't Post

And thanks especially to Voronwë for sharing the news here! I've been shamefully absent from the Reading Room for so long I had to struggle to remember my login and password, but I'll try not to be such a stranger. Blush

Great to see you here, a.s.
Visualweasel had quite a nice thank you speech read in absentia by Richard C. West at the conference banquet.

Funny, how easily my fingers just typed that from memory...

So nice to see you, too!

Would have loved to hear that speech. Was it in rhyme, though?

Nice to see you, A.S. and visualweasel himself in this thread. A lot of great old Reading Room posts are reflected in those three user names!

well, hello! [In reply to] Can't Post

I just wandered in to The Reading Room on The Birthdays to see what was happening, and saw you here, a.s.-- though you were here some time ago. I'm late for the party, as usual, but I hope to hang out here a bit more and to see you around (though I don't know if you remember my name from years back).
