I think it's super cool. Someone at Google is a Tolkien geek to have remembered that the intersection of "vegetation" and "mythical" in a Venn diagram could be represented by an Ent

The only way I know how to contact Google employees is through AdWords support. They don't always look kindly on you if you ask about something not related to AdWords, though!
I guess the only way to get an all-Tolkien Google doodle is to pretend to be a child to enter the kid contests they do sometimes. :P
