FELLOWSHIP of the RING - Anniversary - Mad Libs game
|

Dernwyn our kind Forum Administrator/Moderator has graciously allowed me to use her format for this game of Mad Libs. Grammaboodawg suggested we stick with The Fellowship of the Ring for these postings, as July 29th is the 60th anniversary of its publication. Here’s how this works: Temporarily hidden from you I have randomly selected four sections of text from FotR and left 60 words blank for you to fill in with an indicated noun, verb, adverb, etc. Reply in the subject line only. If you wish to reply with “Grapefruit” for #12. “noun”, simply reply with “12. Grapefruit //”. (One reply per subject line please.) If more than one reply for a particular number is given the first incoming will take precedence (maybe). Posting more than once is ok. As the numbers for each piece of text are completed I will reveal YOUR corrupted revised text. Upon total completion I will reveal the four “revised passages” in toto. [Note: To satirize one’s work need not be a discourtesy. This game is simply one way to show our love of Tolkien and his fabulous works. So Happy Anniversary FotR, and let’s have some fun! 1. A famous politician 2. Exclamation 3. Noun 4. Famous building or structure 5. Verb – past tense 6. Noun – plural 7. Kitchen utensil 8. Noun – plural 9. Famous painter 10. Rock ‘n Roll group 11.
