Bard having to walk through the espalier of Elves looks very intruiging.

I too am very interested in the picture of Bard. The colors seem weird. Probably because it's an on-set photo? Also notice how the elven archers have their quivers at their waist, like Tauriel.
How many Tolkien fans does it take to change a light bulb? "Change? Oh my god, what do you mean change?! Never, never, never......"

The detail of the Elves' armour is magnificent, as always.

Cordon? If it was meant to honor Bard (which I highly doubt) I would say they formed a guard of honor ;)

An experienced shooter will be shooting RAW and doing colour temp corrections in post. Obviously you want to minimise that in order to minimise workload, but as an experienced gig photographer, I've always done colour temp corrections (and a bunch of other stuff) on my final shots ever since I made the switch from shooting JPEG to RAW. That is, of course, assuming he's not shooting film. :D

That is awesome. What moment that could be, I don't know, but visually it is really striking. Let the speculation begin!

Maybe it's Bard being escorted to see Thranduil. It's very interesting to see the elves lined up on either side of Bard.

Routine colour corrections and such that you go through with any photograph are not quite the same as the colour grading PJ and co will go through. You will tend to make the picture look good 'as a picture' but that's very unlikely to be the final look Pj wants for the film.

Thranduil looks terrific – love the armour and his expression and the general atmosphere of that shot. Also very much looking forward to seeing Bard again (great voice and accent, and played by a good actor).
