It's impossible. They can't split it. Back in 2011 they picked up lenght about 2 movies. After they realized they have enough pickups, they decided to split in 3 parts. And we have extra extended cuttings already. I believe they don't have enough scenes for splitting into 2 parts of the last film. Smaug's Attack,The White Council attack, The Battle of Five Armies and Return Journeya are exactly enough for a 160 min. movie. I don't believe it,honestly.

I want more, and it's sad knowing this is the last film... I wouldn't mind them making 3-4 more movies.  I'd even watch a movie with Bilbo just wandering around Bag End for 3 hours. Really hope they do some sort of spin off films for Middle-earth.
