Archilles vs Leoglas

Both are marvellous fighters, and almost seem "immortal" in the way that they cant be killled in combat. Who would win though? The man or the elf?
I believe that Azog and Bolg are possibly the only two orcs who may be an exception to the typical evil nature of an orc. Azog had brought up his son, well enough that he actually acknowledges him as his own son. That is a first for any orc. And Bolg sets out to march upon Erebor in vengeance of his fathers death. How many orcs will Try and avenge another dead orc? Most will just forget about the dead one. This gives me hope that Orcs, have some traits of good in them, even if it is small aspects.

If it's Achilles then I think Legolas would win.

and Legolas would have to strike quick and accurate to have a shot at that darn heel. (Maybe even some prior knowledge too.) I give the odds to Achilles. Cheers

Legolas is immortal and Achilles is only part-immortal. plus, Legolas has the skill and speed of an elf, whereas Achilles was human in form (albeit a very gifted human)

Whether or not they're immortal has little to do with it.

As I understand it, immortality means that one can live forever and no succumb to a natural death via old age. It does not mean that one cannot be killed by physical means. Invincibility, however, is when a person cannot be killed by physical harm. To sum up, Legolas and Achilles may both be immortal (not sure if Achilles is, actually), but neither are invincible. Anyway, I give it to Legolas. Both are insanely skilled fighters, but Legolas is faster, probably physically stronger, and undoubtedly has quicker reflexes.

Immortality has nothing to do with this physical combat. Either can be killed in combat. But Achilles is invulnerable except for his heel (Achilles Heel). Still, sorry to say, edge to Achilles.

Legolas would have had to have prior knowledge about the "Achilles Heel". But yes, Legolas was a darn good shot with the Elven-bow. Remember that great shot when he took down the Nazgul steed near Sarn Gebir? Praised be the bow of Galadriel, and the hand and eye of Legolas! said Gimli... Cuio i Pheriain anann!
