Who has the sexiest FEMALE voice in Middle-earth? Can't Post

To make amends for my oversight in the candidates presented in my poll below, I offer this distaff version.

I'll say it again... [In reply to] Can't Post

Arwen.

That first scene of hers in Fellowship, speaking elvish and looking lovely, i remember seeing it in the theater for the first time well. I had seen Liv Tyler in things before, but never imagined she'd be able to bring that kind of gravity to a scene. And her voice had a lot to do with that-- it was as though she were speaking in a register below what i'd heard previously. I was impressed.

Liv Tyler did speak in a deeper voice [In reply to] Can't Post

in order to sound older and convincingly immortal. I think it was quite effective. (As I recall, her famous father didn't even recognize it!)

She also has a lovely singing voice. "The Houses of Healing" is still one if my favorite parts of LOTR's score.

You know, Maciliel, I did consider adding her [In reply to] Can't Post

but I couldn't recall if we ever actually hear her speak. Her name and looks, however, certainly suggest a voice that must be the velvetiest purr ever....

Cool
