Spy says Peter Jackson has approved the next Hobbit trailer Can't Post

Peter-Jackson-Doctor-Who A little earlier, a birdie landed on our mountain and informed us that Peter Jackson put his final approval on the first trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies just today.

Our first time source says that the trailer still needs to be rated, but hopefully (cross fingers) this means we'll see marketing for the final Hobbit film cranking into gear in the near future.

That's always the gamble with a first-time source. We shall see, I guess.

well thats good news [In reply to] Can't Post

Now we wait a month before it even shows up on Alberta Mad

I believe that Azog and Bolg are possibly the only two orcs who may be an exception to the typical evil nature of an orc. Azog had brought up his son, well enough that he actually acknowledges him as his own son. That is a first for any orc. And Bolg sets out to march upon Erebor in vengeance of his fathers death. How many orcs will Try and avenge another dead orc? Most will just forget about the dead one. This gives me hope that Orcs, have some traits of good in them, even if it is small aspects.

My fingers stay crossed [In reply to] Can't Post

I strongly prefer that they get the little snowball rolling sooner than later.

I had convinced myself that a trailer release at SDCC was the right move (perhaps it is and we may still have to wait until then), but now I'm inclined to believe that it would be better to have the teaser trailer lead into the popular convention (if you know what I mean).

To be completely honest, I'd rather not wait any longer. I mean, I could easily do so if it is required of me (at least, I like to think I could). Unsure

Hopefully, this first time source is reliable and the studios will sidestep the new marketing guidelines. Smile

Let's be honest [In reply to] Can't Post

We're going to get get a trailer soon, you don't need this source to know that. We know Adam Brown saw the trailer a while back (presumably the same or an early version of the 'epic' trailer). So it is worth getting excited, it's coming soon.

This fits with what we already know [In reply to] Can't Post

We already know some of the cast had seen the trailer. So for the last few weeks they've probably been perfecting the cgi, and now PJ has finally approved it.

Still not expecting it anytime soon. Laugh

When can we expect it.... [In reply to] Can't Post

A quick thought. The 'Mockingjay' trailer appeared online yesterday, and yet it has just been rated on Alberta Film Trailers Ratings today, to allow it to be attached to Transformers 4. Therefore, we could see BOTFA trailer appearing with little notice and then being rated after release online...

Well, [In reply to] Can't Post

From what I've heard, in addition to the one released yesterday, another teaser trailer is coming between now and ComicCon, before a 'proper' trailer is released at that event. So it looks like Hobbit will have some trailer competition at ComicCon.

........... [In reply to] Can't Post

What I'd like to know is when the director of Mockingjay confirmed this trailer, (like PJ just did) and how long it took to appear online. Might give us an idea of the time frame we can expect.

Fantastic news!! [In reply to] Can't Post

The wait will soon pay off, as I feel we're going to be getting the grandest, most epic trailer for any Middle-earth movie ever. Really hoping to see some Tauriel in the trailer. She has become one of my favorite characters in all of Middle-earth, and I eagerly await her storyline in BOTFA. Gah, honestly can't wait for this epic trailer!! It's gonna be sad, but oh so awesome.

You all do that for yourselves just fine.

But his heart still knows some fear

Why they try to tear the mountains down
To bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land
