I am sorry but BOFTA sounds and looks like a Government agency or maybe an international trade agreement. KS

BOFTA means: Battle Of Five Thousand Armies I would watch that movie But... if you consider each dwarf as an One Man Army - and the possibility that PJ will have Dáin II bring 5000 instead of just 500 warriors from the Iron Hills - you might as well use the name BOFTA or BO5kA instead of BOTFA Edit: You might even call it BOWMTFTA - Battle Of Way More Than Five Thousand Armies

Anyway I'm still stubbornly referring to it as BOFA, as BOTFA puts weird images in my head. 1) Bot flies (eeuww - sorry) 2) A kind of South American grain, like quinoa (would you like grits or botfa with your ham?) 3) A kind of filling for pillows, or possibly a kind of mattress sold by that blue box store.

I have resorted to this: - film: TH:BotFA - battle: Bo5A

Then BO5A is just dwarves, elves, men, orcs and a hobbit plus assorted other critters mixing it up.

But certainly not BOFTA. I actually quite like the way "BOTFA" (bott-FUH) sounds, and to me that distinguishes the film from the battle very well since BOFA is already the accepted abbreviation for the battle ("The Battle of Five Armies"-BOFA) and BOTFA is the abbreviation most true to the name of the film (The Battle of the Five Armies.). BOT5A is just an alternate form of BOTFA, as BO5A is an alternate form of BOFA imho. To me it doesn't matter whether you use the number or the letter...
"I've found it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk, that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps it is because I’m afraid, and he gives me courage.” - Gandalf the Grey. "Do not be afraid Mithrandir, if ever you should need my help, I will come." - Lady Galadriel.

In The Way, The Word... "The" Adds to THE... Epicness.. Since it Seems "THE" Five Armies will likely Remain in our Collective Consciousness As "THE" TOP 5 Battles of OUR Cinematic Lifetimes for many years. Will it be as Great as Helm's Deep or Pelennor Fields? Yes, only Different? Definitely Never Doubtful... Bomby
