***Founders' Day MadLib! *** Can't Post

Happy Founders' Day! In their honor, we have a special MadLib!

What this is, for those unfamiliar with it: I've taken a section of text from The Hobbit, and blanked out several words, leaving it up to you to replace them with the kind of word they were: noun, adjective, verb, etc.

I won't tell you what scene this is - and if you somehow guess it, please tell no one, so the responses stay totally random!

Remember to reply in the Subject Line only, and with the number associated with that word: for example, if you would like to provide "ant hills" for "8. plural noun - landform", your Subject Line would read "8. ant hills". Keep one number per Subject Line, and try to not duplicate numbers! There should be plenty for everyone, and you can post more than once. Once all numbers have responses, I'll post the, ah, "revised" text. Have fun!

"But there’s empty cross, there’s an empty tomb
Fire and wind now sweeping in this tiny upper room
There’s a hungry world, there’s a risen King
Unlock the doors, what reason more could we ever need?
So sing with me, I dare you to
Because there’s an empty cross; there’s an empty tomb"
~Empty (Disciples)-sung by Dan Haseltine and Matt Hammitt

71. Obacerate [In reply to] Can't Post

Definition: To cause, or attempt to cause, someone to cease speaking by contradicting them. Close in meaning to 'flabbergast', but implying the intention on the part of one party to reduce the other party to silence.

Ex: The debator obacerated his opponent with his charismatic eloquence.

Oh, I'm not sure about it myself! [In reply to] Can't Post

There are more than one tooth in buckteeth, so.... I have no idea!Sly

I have a dear friend who could not understand why people get a 'haircut'. They thought it should be plural hairscut, and they used it constantly for about three years.

English is confusing with all the gerunds (verbs used as nouns), and pluralisation rules. On top of that, it's always changing!
