I sometimes called him a name that I got from the Pogo comic strip: "Honey Bunny Ducky Downy Sweetie Chicken Pie Li'l Ever-lovin' Jelly Bean".

I only really like the Brach's traditional flavor jelly beans. I like all the flavors, but the red ones are the best, to me. My father and my sister loved the black licorice jelly beans, and made a joke of gifting the rest of the family with small bags of the black jelly beans. I would occasionally get a random package in the mail after I moved out, no note, just a small bag of black jelly beans. A couple times a year, I get a yearning for jelly beans, and get a bag. But of course they're best this time of year when the Easter bunny visits.

except my dad is the one who likes the black ones, so I save mine up and give to him. I accidently bit into one the other day (thinking it was a purple one). Ugh, it was awful. Red, white, yellow and purple are my favorites, and like you, I tend to only eat around Easter (and I managed to resist buying another bag at the grocery store yesterday, even though they were on sale).

to eat the whole 16-ounce bag of black jelly beans today? Is that right? I'm behind schedule, then!

Buttered Popcorn might be my favorite flavor but I like a lot of them. I've even tried Bertie Botts all flavor jelly beans which include the flavors: Banana, Black Pepper, Blueberry, Booger, Candyfloss, Cherry, Cinnamon, Dirt, Earthworm, Earwax, Grass, Green Apple, Marshmallow, Rotten Egg, Sausage, Lemon, Soap, Tutti-Fruitti, Vomit, and Watermelon We toured a Jelly Belly plant in Wisconsin.

is also my favorite! I looked for them the Monday after (50% off on candy - whoohoo!) Instead, I found Gimbal's brand (total ripoff of Jelly Belly) that has real fruit juice and is "a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants" - so does that mean they are "health food"?

was the tour of the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield CA. And the best value on jelly beans are the bags of "belly flops" you can get at the factory stores.

That was a 44 oz. bag stashed away in the kitchen as soon as the stores stocked the shelves! Help yourself again, there is plenty and to spare!

In jellybeans
" 'Fair lady Goldberry!' said Frodo at last, feeling his heart move with a joy that he did not understand. He stood as he had at times stood enchanted by fair elven-voices; but the spell that was now laid upon him was different: less keen and lofty was the delight, but deeper and nearer to mortal heart; marvellous and yet not strange." Chapter VII: In the House of Tom Bombadil; FOTR's Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. not expecting that pic! :-) I don't know if I've had Turkish Taffy. I've had pulled taffy. In fact my Dad once made pulled taffy. Somewhere in the past few weeks I ran across the term 'Pontefract Cakes' so I had to look it up. They sound like they're chewy. I guess I don't mind some chewy stuff. I just don't like stuff that sticks to your teeth like Sugar Daddys or sticky caramel.
