The films are practically wrapped and nothing big will release until December. I think once marketing is finished for the Smaug Blu-ray and Lego Hobbit (both this week) there will be a long period of nothing really being said about Hobbity things.
I wouldn't be expecting anything of interest until at least June, when we might be getting our first teaser for TABA. Until then I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I am also not quite sure what people are wanting to see in a vlog since there are no pick-ups (yet).
They usually showed us what happened in the months before the release of a vlog, so at the moment anything but a recap of the DoS premieres would just be PJ in the cutting room or FW and PB in the ADR process.
All behind the scenes material would have to be quite old - and is imho therefore Extras material for the future DVD/BluRay releases.
Unless they decide to do a vlog in which the shooting of TABA material is shown despite not having been shot in the recent past. In that case I would find a first teaser or sneek peak better... in general this year the first trailer/teaser should be "the" thing. Not the sneek peak a few weeks before release as for DoS. They should also not be to un-spoilerish. I still believe it was a marketing mistake to play the dragon so low in the promotion campaign. They should show the same amount of both Smaug and the Bot5A as they did with the Pelennor and Black-Gate Battles in the lead-up to RotK.

I guess Gozilla, which premieres May 16 would be the very earliest movie the first TABA trailer could be attached to.
Though something tells me Jupiter Ascending on July 18 is more likely.
However, many trailers are not directly released and announced to be released with other big movies... so my bet would be late June or early July for the online release of the trailer.
So let me just throw July 1 into the ring ;)
