Charlie Rose interviewed author Michael Lewis last night about his book "Flash Boys", and I just thought it was very cool that when he was describing Canadian banker Brad Katsuyama going up against the Wall Street high frequency trading gang he compared him to Frodo. A cultural reference that everybody gets nowadays. Smile

although the pedantic of us would note that Frodo did not assemble a team/Fellowship to destroy the Ring. :-)

But the person making the reference seemed very comfortable with it ... I got the impression he was familiar with the story (either via movie or book) and that he kind of expected most of his listeners to be familiar with it. A casual cultural reference.
