What device do you use most often to visit TORn? Can't Post

For me it's my phone simply because the superstructure of my life rests on the details it carries. I could not manage without it and have it with me at all times. It does have its limitation compared to my PC but overall, it's just the most convenient way for me to pop into Theonering whenever I like. Smile

I usually use my smartphone to check in [In reply to] Can't Post

If I can respond in a few sentences, I usually do so on my phone as well. But If I have a lot to say (or a lot I want to say whether or not I actually have anything to say Laugh) I wait until my laptop is co-operating and post from it. I'm on my laptop now because - joy of joys - it's behaving, and it's easier to type on an actual keyboard. I don't know how people can use virtual keyboards as easily as they seem to. Crazy

If it's acting up, I'll resort to my ipad, but I much prefer having a real keyboard.

Laptop, followed by smart phone [In reply to] Can't Post

Most of the time, I prefer using my laptop for the bigger screen and keyboard (and posting those all important Thorin pictures). However, there are times when I don't have access to it (say, waiting around 4 hours for my car to be fixed), so I'll at least read threads on my phone.

PC - I'm practically a techo-luddite .... [In reply to] Can't Post

... in that I have technology but never current technology.

I wouldn't give up my PC for anything. If had tons-o-money, I might have a tablet and/or smartphone... but not if it meant trading in my PC. I have a keyboard and a mouse and a large screen and the things I need to do require all of those.

I do have an ancient iPod Touch (my son's old one) that I can use to read TORn on... but it's hard to do that and I am not signed in on it nor would I ever attempt to post from it.

PC [In reply to] Can't Post

Or laptop, specifically. I have a smartphone, but I find it pretty much useless for anything other than, well, making phone calls on it. I really wouldn't give up having a real keyboard and a real screen for anything. It's just so much easier.

Guess I'm old school. I have a smart phone, but I don't use it to get on the net. In fact, I have no idea why I even own a smart phone. I hate laptops, so I don't use those either. We own a tablet, but it is mainly used for my daughter to have games to play on. PC all the way.

I am somewhat puzzled that no one [In reply to] Can't Post

has yet voted "palantír." Of all people, I would expect members of TORn to prefer a seeing stone. I myself would always chose my gazing ball if I could just find a qualified geek to repair it. Every time I've tried to use it, it fails to perform.

Go figure. Crazy
