Hobbit Movie Survey by "The Hobbit Audience Project" Can't Post

From Altaira:

Keen to share your opinions about Peter Jackson's Hobbit movies? If the answer is 'yes,' please consider taking the survey described below in support of this project and one our advertisers: "The Hobbit Audience Project" Thanks! Smile

Hi everyone,

My name is Carolyn Michelle, and I'm the lead researcher on an international research project exploring audience responses to Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy. The is an academic study being run from Waikato University in New Zealand, a short drive from the Hobbiton movie set :)

In our online survey we are keen to hear people’s thoughts, responses and feelings about Peter Jackson's film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. We’d like to hear from people with all kinds of views - from those who loved the film as well as those who were critical of particular aspects, or had quite mixed feelings. You can participate in the survey here:
http://flashq.rcc.ryerson.ca/Hobbit2/

Completing the survey will take around 30 minutes. Any information you provide will remain confidential, and anonymous in any written reports arising from the project. Please note that as this survey uses Flash it won’t work on Apple iPads, but may work on other tablet devices. A large-screen laptop or desktop computer is ideal.

About us: We’re a team of academic researchers located at the Universities of Waikato (Hamilton, New Zealand), Ryerson (Toronto, Canada), Roskilde (Denmark), and Ghent (Belgium). We are interested in the nature of audience reception, and in understanding why different people often have very different views and understandings of the same film.

If you wish to complete the survey, or want to learn more about the project before deciding, clicking the URL will take you to the formal consent agreement, which looks rather ominous but provides important details about the project and your rights as a research participant. The most important things to know are that your participation is entirely voluntary, your answers will remain anonymous, and you can say as much or as little as you wish. http://flashq.rcc.ryerson.ca/Hobbit2/

Thank you very much for your time and participation!

Carolyn Michelle (PhD)
Lead researcher, The Hobbit Audience project
Best wishes, and thanks again!
Carolyn
