Middle-earth Conspiracy Theories Can't Post

What is the real reason that Aule wanted to create the race of Dwarves?

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

" 'Fair lady Goldberry!' said Frodo at last, feeling his heart move with a joy that he did not understand. He stood as he had at times stood enchanted by fair elven-voices; but the spell that was now laid upon him was different: less keen and lofty was the delight, but deeper and nearer to mortal heart; marvellous and yet not strange."

Chapter VII: In the House of Tom Bombadil; FOTR's

Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted."

Plurmo, at first glance, your answer [In reply to] Can't Post

made me think of the Monopoly game, as did your mention of hounds (the dog figurine playing piece)--so that made me think of the following conspiracy theory:

Aule created a Dwarf prototype as a proposed Monopoly playing piece, but it got rejected in favor of the dog, so he decided to recycle the design for other uses....

So that he can build an army [In reply to] Can't Post

and Usurp Manwe!!

I believe that Azog and Bolg are possibly the only two orcs who may be an exception to the typical evil nature of an orc. Azog had brought up his son, well enough that he actually acknowledges him as his own son. That is a first for any orc. And Bolg sets out to march upon Erebor in vengeance of his fathers death. How many orcs will Try and avenge another dead orc? Most will just forget about the dead one. This gives me hope that Orcs, have some traits of good in them, even if it is small aspects.

So, as you say, he tossed a dwarf playing piece on the board [In reply to] Can't Post

and got hounded by the dog owners! Hence came the "no one tosses a dwarf!" motto, later adopted by the dwarves themselves.

And to add insult to injury the tradition was extended to the valinorean Mafia card game where those who get the dwarf card are tossed from Taniquetil.

Which makes me think of what the dwarf card means in the valinorean hröa-stripping poker game...

The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”
