Which scene in The Desolation of Smaug could have been longer? Can't Post

If you have any other scenes in mind, please name them.Smile In my opinion we hardly had any time with Beorn. He had like 5 minutes of screen time. I hope the filmmakers redeem themselves with the extended edition.

Beorn's house [In reply to] Can't Post

But I would have also liked to have seen more Bilbo in the Halls of Thranduil.

Some of this should be fixed in the EE. [In reply to] Can't Post

Over-all, I just wish we had a better sense of the passage of time in the film. I think that that could be accomplished without having the movie drag. I am thinking mostly of the Mirkwood sequences and the company's time as captives of the Wood-elves.

Definately Beorn/Mirkwood [In reply to] Can't Post

Didn't hesitate for a moment, the other sequences were well-paced.

Beorn! [In reply to] Can't Post

Beorn is the top reason why I didn't like the Legolas/Tauriel/Kili plot. Confused already?
Here's the reason: I wouldn't mind the Tauriel et al. story so much if it didn't take such a lot of time away from more important, original story as written by Tolkien. And I just can't wrap my head around why there is hardly any time for Beorn when the little wannabe-lovestory goes on and on and on...

Yes, i definately have a bone to pick [In reply to] Can't Post

on the issue (or non-issue) of Beorn. I was really looking forward to this dynamic character and...* TongueRaspberries!* . I did not recover properly after that. Perhaps there will be a better 'synopsis' at the end.

I would probably have said the scenes in Rivendell.. [In reply to] Can't Post

Because I love the high elves.. Thranduil all and his kind, not so much. But actually I voted for Beorn's scenes.. Because of the bees. Evil

Beorn... [In reply to] Can't Post

With Mirkwood a close second. I could deal with the short length of Mirkwood though. The Beorn sequence was so great but I was very disappointed at how short it was.

How about [In reply to] Can't Post

More of Mirkwood in general? I felt like besides the spiders we just didn't spend enough time there.
