TH: AUJ SEE Giftset (German) only for 39.97 EUR! Can't Post

I thought I'd share it here.

The giftset of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey SEE (German edition) has been reduced to 39.97 EUR!
(the listing is 44.99, but is reduced to 39.97 at checkout)

The discs have English audio and subtitles and are region-free.

Obviously it did not sell well... [In reply to] Can't Post

In my opinion the Bilbo/Gollum statue is not that great as the Argonath or Minas Tirith, so i did not think about buying this, and i do not now....

The way I read this... [In reply to] Can't Post

Not as good as Minas Tirith or The Argonath... But you don't mention Gollum. So I'm guessing that you're more interested in environment design than character or creature design. It's all a matter of opinion, the quality of the statue is actually very good in person, pictures don't do it justice. I don't own it, but I sure want to.

I currently have the Argonath, both Gollums and Minas Tirith. I'm desperate for the Minas Morgul (more than this Gollum one) and can't wait for the Guards of Erebor. The problem with these character statues is that recreating a person's face is extremely difficult and looks a bit "uncanny". But that can't be helped, they're fantastic statues.

Agreed...Weta stuff is all excellent quality. [In reply to] Can't Post

I have all the Collector's sets so far and love them. But I'm really miffed to be expected to fork out for two (if there is going to still be an EE gift set?) for DoS....particularly at $119, which is way more than I paid for the AUJ EE set (the five disc set of that was $69.99).
BTW, if you do order the AUJ set in the UK, don't forget about the import tax - I got stung another 20 on top! Frown

That's when getting the US version, true. Not for the German one though, as Germany is in the EU, same as UK.

There will most probably be a SEE giftset as well, this time from Weta (the Theatrical version giftset is by Noble Collection).

I did order from Amazon US, true... [In reply to] Can't Post

but the parcel came direct from Amazon.de, and it was obvious on the packaging!!! Crazy
How can you guarantee I wouldn't get caught the same way if I ordered direct from Germany?
