This looks really awesome, but I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to money. I've never been on a cruise before though so it would be cool to go on this one.

This cruise looks so awesome! I don't think it is that pricey for a cruise. It looks like they included the taxes and gratuities... So all your meals, lodging, entertainment are included...
Plus it looks like all the events and star events are included. It seems like the Comic-Con for Tolkien fans!
I hope to go!

I agree the prices are rather high for a cruise, but then, this is a Convention at Sea, so you are paying for the cruise (which is your hotel and all your meals inclusive) and the convention. But it still a pretty high mark up. Then again, I have not compared these to other recent Scifi Cruises at Sea, so no idea if this is a typical mark up or not.
Right in the description above the pricing it states these prices are based on 800 passengers in the group, but it does not say anything about whether or not they will change prices or cancel the event if they are not making their numbers. Wow, that is a huge group to try and promise and to promise it on 4 different cruises, that's going to be tough.
