Congratulations! Your thread has been locked! [In reply to]

Yes, I know that sounds like a contradiction, but let me explain....

Thranduil has proven to be so very much appreciated that this thread, at almost 400 posts, is one of the few threads yet to surpass our per-thread limit of 300 replies. Why do we have such a limit? Well, because last year we discovered during the first Character Elimination Game, alias The Great Admin Perplexity of 2012 (aka "Anyone-know-why-I-can't-open-the-Gaming-&-Collecting-board-anymore?") that with our current forum software, very long threads can drastically slow down board function or even make it impossible for some people to open a forum at all.

Call it the price of fame. You're in very elite, and very popular company! The bad news is we have to lock this thread. The good news is that you are entirely welcome - nay, encouraged - to continue the appreciation in a new thread. You can link back to this one if you like. Call it Thranduil Appreciation Part II, call it The Further Appreciation of Thranduil, call it Look at the Pretty Elf Man!, whatever you like. Wink

If any Thralls have questions about this, feel free to PM me. Otherwise, we'll see you on Page 1. Cool
