Conspiracy theory: How did they know it was the "Last Alliance"? Can't Post

How did they know it was the "Last Alliance"?

Seems a bit suspicious to me- like the Pre-Raphaelites knowing that they were Pre -Raphaelites.

Disclaimers: The words of noWizardme may stand on their heads! I'm often wrong about things, and its fun to be taught more....

"nowimė I am in the West, Furincurunir to the Dwarves (or at least, to their best friend) and by other names in other lands. Mostly they just say 'Oh no it's him - look busy!' "
Or "Hold off! unhand me, grey-beard loon!"

Is there a Tolkien topic that you have wanted to look into more deeply and write about your thoughts on it? If so, we'd like to hear from you for the next TORn Amateur Symposium- coming in November. Happy writing!

The List Alliance are still trying to become comprehensive

No-one knows what happened to The Lost Alliance

The Lust Alliance are off somewhere giggling over pictures of Thorin Oaken shield

The Lest Alliance - we forget…

How did they know it was the "Last Alliance"?

One of those 'end of the known universe' things, with dances and all sorts of frilly fun (a chocolate fountain, cute little finger foods) but, critically, the Elf printer left the D- off the second word. So everyone showed up armed, and, with nothing else to do (since no one brought food or frills), off they went to Mordor.

When there's another Alliance (like, say, Helm's Deep or Erebor) then THAT becomes the new Last. The Latest of the Last. The Other Last was the First Last and lastested until the Latest of the Lasts :)

Until WW II , the first world war was called The Great War. See, nobody learns anything, they are just doomed to repeat stuff.
