This week's questions: 1. Who saves Merry and Pippin when they are attacked in Treebeard's home? Treebeard -- not a trick question! 2. Whose name does Sam yell when Frodo is first snatched by the lake beast? Strider -- sorry, no credit for Aragorn 3. What color is the outside of the front door at Bag End? Green 4. What kind of weapon did Sauron yield in the ancient Battle of the Second Age? A mace, and yep, it should have read "wield" -- which lots of you figured out! Sorry, no credit for "something pointy." 5. What Fellowship duo runs to save Frodo when the lake beast seizes him for the second time? Aragorn and Boromir --- though I gave credit if you said those two and then mentioned Legolas as well 6. How many pieces of armor were made for the movie trilogy: 24,000, 36,000, 48,000 or 62,000? 48,000 -- what I'd really like to know is who counted them... Bonus Round: 7. Which actor has the keys to Bag End's front door? Ian McKellan -- sorry no credit if you just said "Sir Ian" Rankings: There were a total of 20 players -- thanks to everyone who played! Super Wizards -- all 7 correct! Dye-die Ringhead 91 Wizards -- 6 correct Elbereth Menelwyn High Elves -- 5 correct Far From Home Trixie Hobbit Arwen's Daughter Elven Hobbit CA Hobbit Aerlinn Magpie Ataahua Owlyross Elves -- 4 correct Alessea Eruvande Loresilme Nurador Estelwyn Lossefalme Hobbits -- 3 correct Stapper Teddiwen **Please doublecheck your scores if you want, as I have been known to "ahem" not add correctly.** If anyone with a more math-like brain wants to be the tallier each week, I'd welcome the help!

I obviously need to watch the movies again. It has been a year or so... Btw, I didn't realize there was more than one "Sir Ian" until I saw your answer and it prompted me to do some research. I mean, how many "Sir Ian's" can there possibly be? I don't even know anyone named Ian. Well, I my research led me to Sir Ian Holm. I had now idea he was a "Sir," too. I wasn't even thinking about Bilbo. Although I think Ian Holm made a great Bilbo, I don't really think of him when I think about the films. I'm a terrible person, I know. Ah well. This week was even harder, so who knows how badly I'll do!
(Formerly Lossefalme3, just in case you're wondering)*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Aragorn threw back his cloak. The elven-sheath glittered as he grasped it, and the bright blade of Andúril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. 'Elendil!' he cried. 'I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dúnadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!' TTT, Book III, Chapter 2 And Éomer answered: 'Since the day when you rose before me out of the green grass of the downs I have loved you, and that love shall not fail.' RotK, Book VI, Chapter 5

Never made that connection. But I'm a silly A girl, as it were... I think I better quit when I'm about 10 light years behind! I do hereby promise not to mess with your name anymore!
