Would They Kill Off Fili but Not Kili and Tauriel survives but they are considered out casts and live in Lake Town as Advisors to the New King Line Bard. Maybe they will let Kili live and Kill off One Of The Others that suppose to live. I mean really the only 2 dwarfs that must live are Balin and the One with the sling shot for I believe he is the Dwarf Skeleton in Moria.

Forget the book, I don't think it matches the film characterization for either character either. I did not get a vibe that Tauriel is in love with Kili. (Or, why did we see her try to decide what to do in Laketown, stay with Legolas or heal Kili? She knows, from having been at the interrogation of that Orc by Thranduil, that he's a goner if she doesn't). And I think Kili will be off to the mountain as soon as he feels recovered. That aside, I also don't think the filmmakers have any intention of changing that Thorin, Fili, and Kili all die in the battle. To me, their decisions regarding these characters (including those that "depart" from the book) seem very much in line with a plan to kill off all three as they are "supposed to". Thet're just making sure that when it happens, we will care. *sigh*

It would distort the story for no good reason.
