The full list is here. AUJ wasn't nominated for any of the categories either. So take from it what you will.

i think it's a timing thing [In reply to] Can't Post

though maybe also cuz the Globes doesn't have all those technical noms. i'm certainly not expecting DoS to get Best Director/Best Screenplay/Best Movie kinda noms.

It's an odd list [In reply to] Can't Post

And I set no store whatsoever in any list that could include "The White Queen" as one of the best TV series of the year. Oh and that also only includes Daniel Bruhl as a "supporting" actor for his role in "Rush". This would seem to me to be a list that has been put together completely at random, possibly by someone who doesn't actually watch films or TV.

Hope we get some technical nods in the Oscars!

"By Elbereth and Luthien the fair, you shall have neither the Ring nor me!" ~Frodo

"And then Gandalf arose and bid all men rise, and they rose, and he said: 'Here is a last hail ere the feast endeth. Last but not least. For I name now those who shall not be forgotten and without whose valour nought else that was done would have availed; and I name before you all Frodo of the Shire and Samwise his servant. And the bards and the minstrels should give them new names: Bronwe athan Harthad and Harthad Uluithiad , Endurance beyond Hope and Hope Unquenchable.." ~Gandalf, The End of the Third Age , from The History of Middle Earth series

Not a big deal [In reply to] Can't Post

Even though RoTK won Oscars, I don't really think of these films as 'award' films - I don't really care for most of the award films anyways. I am more of a Blockbuster type of movie guy, so as long as DOS entertains me, then I am good :)

Agreed [In reply to] Can't Post

Middle-Earth and Jackson had their moments with ROTK. I won't lose sleep over this trilogy getting snubbed.
