New TV Spot on the FB page!!! Can't Post

Including a new shot of Legolas, a few new Erebor shots, a new shot of Azog and some sort of magical explosion by Gandalf.

Can't find it either.

Wow! [In reply to] Can't Post

The cgi looks incredible in these new tv spots! just goes to show how much time and work goes into them right up until the last minute. Azog looks alot better in the shot of him running, Also Smaugs eye opening - the detail is incredible

Azog [In reply to] Can't Post

I was going to comment on just how much better Azog looks in that one spot. I enjoyed his look in AUJ but man did he look really good there.

He does look incredible here, but I think it has to do mainly with the color timing, DOS looks darker than AUJ (which makes sense), and also, they got more time, so maybe they touched up his skin texture a little bit.

Blunt the knives, bend them forks, smash the bottles and burn the corks.

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates !

Incredible [In reply to] Can't Post

Agreed, he looks amazing. Hopefully that standard is consistent across the film as a whole (and perhaps improved upon in future releases of AUJ?).

... [In reply to] Can't Post

It's not beyond the realm of possibility, is it? I'm just enthusiastic because I was honestly taken aback at how much better Azog looks in this spot. You can also more clearly see the flayed face of a dwarf as part of his lower clothing in this shot, a detail which wasn't very obvious in AUJ.

I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.

He honestly looks so terrifying. [In reply to] Can't Post

I remember seeing him for the first time in theaters last year and I was completely awestruck by how brutal and menacing he was. But this is just on another level Smile

Despite the difference between the two sources I was pretty darn impressed as well with Azog. So much so I have the statue from Weta on order.

It could happen. [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm not sure if it will because Jackson isn't know for that. That would be more Lucas like but it could happen I suppose.

Well, [In reply to] Can't Post

In this case, at least, I think we can condone a Lucas-style change.
