“All good stories deserve embellishment."

Praise is subjective. And so is criticism.

"I am afraid it is only too likely to be true what you say about the critics and the public. I am dreading the publication for it will be impossible not to mind what is said. I have exposed my heart to be shot at."

This is why... [In reply to] Can't Post

...you guys should just disregard RT until the film comes out. It's going to keep going back and forth (especially when there's so few reviews on there). When the reviews pour in after Friday, the score (whatever it turns out to be) will stabilize.

The negative review of Metro [In reply to] Can't Post

http://www.metro.us/newyork/entertainment/movies-entertainment/2013/12/08/the-hobbit-the-desolation-of-smaug-will-give-you-stockholm-syndrome/

What is so funny about this review,is that the author pretends that he knows the book but he also claims that the third movie will have a 2 hour monotonous battle with Smaug and the rest will be various denouements.LOL
I am so in love with this kind of criticsHeart
Such a pretentious writer.

Metro review [In reply to] Can't Post

I think he meant that since PJ is veering so wildly off course from the book, anything can happen in the third movie.

Who knows? Smaug might even turn up in the battle for all we know!

About the Metro review - [In reply to] Can't Post

They really should read the source material for the movies. It would explain a few things.

High five!

Half a league, half a league, half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death, rode the six hundred.
'Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns' he said:
Into the valley of Death rode the six hundred.

Theirs not to make reply, theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death rode the six hundred.

That's the same review as the one posted from Yahoo News [In reply to] Can't Post

It is actually the AP critic, apparently.

That's the AP critic that has now been posted three different times :-) [In reply to] Can't Post

The Yahoo News, ABC News, and Huffington Post reviews are all the same review from AP critic Jocelyn Noveck.

this review is very good news for the movie [In reply to] Can't Post

...and i'll tell you why. it's from an AP national writer. the AP reviews get printed and reprinted in various publications. a lot of times your local paper might just use the AP review.

so while this is review isn't especially well-written or anything, it is a positive take that probably a lot of people are going to end up seeing and using as a reference point.

After all, we have already seen it posted here three different times!
And the Associated Press gave AUJ a negative review last year, which had the exact opposite effect to what you describe.
