It 's really really nice. From the clips that has been released I cant see how DoS will be had lower score than AUJ.

Thanks! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love this clip.
8 days to go!

- Good morning.
- What do you mean? Do you mean to wish me a good morning, or do you mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not? Or perhaps you mean to say that you feel good on this particular morning...or are you simply stating that this is a morning to be good on?

- Good evening.
- Yes, yes it is. Though I think it might rain later.

This! [In reply to] Can't Post

Probably the best clip I've seen so far! I watched it over and over again so I could soak in every little detail not just the stuff between Bard and Thorin. So many great things going on amongst the dwarves in the background.

This one I really like [In reply to] Can't Post

Didn't care much for the other clips shown so far. But this one is quite good.

The Silmarillion (film series)
The Flight of the Noldor - Beren and Lúthien - The Children of Húrin - The Necklace of the Dwarves - The Fall of Gondolin - The War of Wrath

Someday.

Finally a good scene! [In reply to] Can't Post

This scene and the one with Bilbo and Gandalf, are soooo much better than the clips of Legolas, Tauriel and Thranduil we've seen. I'm getting excited again! Smile

Boromir: One does not simply walk into Mordor...

Gandalf: FLY, YOU FOOLS!

The clips this year... [In reply to] Can't Post

... have certainly been chosen better than last year when the Goblin Town scene overshadowed all other discussions and the White Council scene was hard to process without context.

Can anyone remember which scenes we got to see before release last year?

I remember:

Orc-Town chase
White Council
Misty Mountains Song
Beginning of Riddles

From the end of November to the release of AUJ ... [In reply to] Can't Post

We got quite a few clips, including:

- The goblin chase
- Balin & Bilbo Sting conversation
- "Who did you tell about your quest"
- "There's nobody home!"
- "I wasn't talking to you" - Riddles in the Dark
- "Give him the contract"
- Gandalf giving Bilbo Sting
- White Council snippets

(Sources: thread, thread and thread.

I wonder if we'll hear about the EE soon. That was confirmed on 8th December last year.

The people of color [In reply to] Can't Post

I've been mostly out of loop with what's being discussed in TORn, so this is probably news only to me. But it's very satisfying to see PJ went with the same idea I had; that the Laketown being the Kiev of Middle-Earth could easily have inhabitants and/or visitors of other Mannish ethnicities than the Edain.

Anyway, the whole city looks very beautiful, organic and lively - a true town of adventure! And a much more believable setting than Minas Tirith or Caras Galadhon which lacked the feeling of living and breathing society with functional economy and agriculture. I'd like to visit it.

But every word you say today
Gets twisted 'round some other way
And they'll hurt you if they think you've lied

There was a discussion months ago... [In reply to] Can't Post

... After a black person was spotted in one of the vlogs.

I always thought adding people with different cultural and racial backgrounds would be great for Laketown. It would show the trading past and present of both Esgaroth and Dale.

In a lot of ways it reminds me of the trading cities of medieval Europe... The city states of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Northern Africa mixed with the Hanse cities of what is today Northern Germany, Denmark, Poland and the Netherlands.

I kinda wish now that... [In reply to] Can't Post

...they had chosen a black actor to play Bard. Seriously, I think that would have been great. Those are black extras in this clip. Middle Earth could be fantastic if it introduced a coloured hero.
