DoS runntime 161 minutes Can't Post

Is this the consensus on how long DoS is? That is what I see when I check local theater information.

For every natural number n between 150 and 179... [In reply to] Can't Post

...there's a thread somewhere around here reporting that "The Desolation of Smaug" is to be n minutes long.

There usually follows a debate as to whether or not that includes the duration of the credits.

Thanks [In reply to] Can't Post

I have seen a lot of numbers but all three cinemas in my area have it as 161. Though I am not sure if that is just a place holder time or not. Based on movies currently playing at same cinemas the runtime includes the credits.

161 minutes sounds plausible... [In reply to] Can't Post

...though I doubt that it's official yet.

I'm still holding out hope for 267 minutes.

But you won't see it until the EE. From what I hear PJ made a new plot, and the Dwarves get caught up in some time portal while in the barrels. This will take them to the first age, where they are forced to live throughout all of years until they return back to the barrel scene. A ton of new exciting story and footage.
