Indeed [In reply to] Can't Post

From LOTR I only noticed the Shire, Ring and Sauron theme… and maybe a glimpse of the Dwarrodwelf motif.

From AUJ I noticed the Thorin, Erebor, Bilbo, Necromancer, Thranduil, Smaug themes

New themes I was able to figure out were Bard, Laketown and perhaps a glimpse of Beorn

I agree the Smaug/Bilbo music is amazing. Very exotic, thrilling and still familiar.

Concerning the "Far over the Misty Mountains"… I haven't heard it either but we only heard 29min out of almost 2hours of music… I guess that the famous theme will appear again. But I guess it won't be that prominent in this movie because this time we'll leave the Dwarves more often. But it was more or less the "main theme" of the first movie and we already have passed the Misty Mountains so it is not that up to date anymore ;-)

Please explain [In reply to] Can't Post

I find this interesting. Why would an elf theme fit the High Fells of Rhudaur where the Nazguls are buried? Wouldn't it be better with a Nazgul-scary theme? Smile

But i really wanna see that, i wanna see that scene where we see Sauron walking the steps INSIDE of Bara-Dƻr and taking his seat upon his dark throne and summoning the eye, looking into the camera and then BAM! THE END.

-My thoughts on the best ending scene/post credit scene on TABA.

Not Elvish? [In reply to] Can't Post

It would make more sense if it has more to do with the Nature motif, given that a bird interrupts Gandalf in this sequence.

could be that there is still a glimpse of hope...and as Shagrat said, it could refer to a bird appearing/interrupting the scene.

They did use the Nazgūls theme earlier remember? [In reply to] Can't Post

Perhaps they turn the "Nazgūl theme" into "Epic Fight Music" and the nature/Elf music into the new Nazgūl theme? Tongue

Just kidding Wink I guess it will have to do something with this bird of Radagast, Radgast or Gandalf themselves or something else nature based. Perhaps even when Gandalf lights up his staff?

Although i would have loved if they remain the spooky music inside the tombs which we heard in the sneak peek back in march...

I remember it without music but with a few sound effects

And, I did not heard any "far over the misty mountain" theme either... I hope it is not completely absent from the movie

It boggles my mind... [In reply to] Can't Post

...that people on the main page's comments dismiss the quality of this composition just because some samples are not "memorable". I absolutely hate that catchiness is all music appreciation and criticism has become about these days.
