Have started going through them... [In reply to] Can't Post

and they're certainly more encouraging than the 30 sec clips. Thrandy's theme is pretty cool.

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

Thanks so much. [In reply to] Can't Post

Thranduil's Theme, Feat of Starlight, Thrice Welcome and My Armor is Iron are my favourites so far.

But if I had to chose Thrice Welcome would be the clear frontrunner. On the same level as the Rohan theme.

Could the music arond 21:50 be the beginning of Smaug's reveal?

In general many melancholic sounds.

"The Woodland Realm"... [In reply to] Can't Post

A little over halfway through, you can hear something similar to the song that plays during the dwarves' exile in the first movie. I suspect that this is during the Thranduil / Thorin interaction alluded to earlier.

Sounds epic!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Honestly cannot wait for it to be released! So I guess Quest For Erebor's first 30 seconds will play amongst the opening logos/studios, then when The Hobbit logo comes on the Shire theme will play. Love how that's basically the theme for The Hobbit, kinda like that violin (if it's a violin?) that played before each LOTR film.

Awesome, esp. lake town. I only hope they use more of the score unlike for AUJ, which was pretty good music compared with LOTR.

I wanna hear but i think i go Gollum [In reply to] Can't Post

"I'm not listening! I'm not listening! Gollum... Gollum...".

Will wait to hear them when i see the movie. Cool

But i really wanna see that, i wanna see that scene where we see Sauron walking the steps INSIDE of Bara-Dûr and taking his seat upon his dark throne and summoning the eye, looking into the camera and then BAM! THE END.

-My thoughts on the best ending scene/post credit scene on TABA.

The use of Smaug's theme is amazing!! [In reply to] Can't Post

It sounds so… well ancient, dangerous and exotic but still familiar… great! Fits perfect to Smaugs character! Well done Shore!

Laketown, Thranduil and all the other new themes… I can't wait until it is out! Only a few weeks! Hopefully we're going to hear more of this new music in the movie. I'm really looking forward to it!

Extremely few LotR themes ! [In reply to] Can't Post

I must even admit that I recognized none, which is a big change from AUJ's soundtrack. And that's nice, since there is some new memorable themes developped : Smaug, Lake Town, Thranduil...

God the Smaug vs Bilbo scene is gonna be awesome, it's a musical approch never heard in a middle earth movie... it seems incredible!

And, I did not heard any "far over the misty mountain" theme either... I hope it is not completely absent from the movie
