I wrote an article on Tolkien for Yahoo. Can't Post

I'll bet that many Tolkien fans have heard of comparisons between Attila the Hun and Sauron. I'm completely convinced that 5th century strife in the Roman Empires are what inspired the conflict in The Lord of the Rings. While I didn't invent the theory, I think I have added a lot to it.

I hope no one thinks I'm spamming since I just signed up. I'm looking for real feedback on my article from Tolkien fans, and am only doing this at one major Tolkien blog. Feel free to criticize, and be brutal if you have to be.

Minor Correction [In reply to] Can't Post

The Morannon is more properly described as the Black Gate of Mordor. It had a single iron gate--a detail that WETA got wrong.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. [In reply to] Can't Post

In my research, I used Lord of the Rings Wiki to double check, and also Tolkien Gateway.
