Other... [In reply to] Can't Post

I've always been facinated by the description of Celeborn and Galadriel's "throne room" on the flet in the Mallorn tree. I have a hobbitish fear of heights, but I'd want to sit in Galadriel's throne with all of Caras Galadhan around me. Smile

Now if I had to sit in a lap, it would be Aragorn's without question. Laugh Sorry, Arwen. WinkEvilAngelic But Eomere's lap would certainly do.Cool

Aww, that would have such a breathtaking view! [In reply to] Can't Post

Lovely decision, zarabia. Wink

Ah, Aragorn's laps. Nice! Evil
I'd probably sit on them in Bree. Sly

A looooong line that would be indeed. [In reply to] Can't Post

Aww, thanks, Silwen. I really love Bard's quote and I thought it was high time I changed my avatar so after 405 posts, I changed it. Wink

No need [In reply to] Can't Post

to be good, Morningstar and I were having this conversation as well. Yes, I'd be happy to sit on Thorin's lap and discuss what I want for Christmas. EvilWink

I'm one of them... [In reply to] Can't Post

There are a lot of Thorin fans out there Wink

so of course I chose Thror's/Thorin's throne in Erebor. My couch is from Ikea, so it's not very comfortable. It's quite hard as a matter of fact. If the throne is a little too hard, I could always sit on Thorin's lap (if he'll let me that is, but then again, I'm not known as the Queen of Erebor for nothing).Wink

I hope all us drooling "fanladies" (I'm way too old to still be considered a girl) aren't getting a lump of coal for Christmas, because we're being so naughty, but it can't be helped with certain characters and/or actors.Smile

Looks like it. [In reply to] Can't Post

We'll have to get him a Santa hat and ask Thranduil politely for some Elks to pull the sleigh. Sly

Yeah, there's gonna be a very long line of people waiting for their presents. [In reply to] Can't Post

Sly Thranduil won't be happy - queuing on his path through Mirkwood as we wait for our little time with Thorin OakenClaus. Evil

OK, I've behaved long enough. I have two suggestions: [In reply to] Can't Post

1. Separate area for Santa Thranduil. The ethereal, robed Elves can hang over there. And any else that feels like it, of course. (Ro can run back and forth between the two spots.)

2. The Helper's at Thorin's should dress more like this:

The hood is *very* important. It keeps you warm. See? Very Dwarven in spirit.

My two cents.

Thranduil's! Hands down! [In reply to] Can't Post

I crave an Elven throne and Mirkwood would be a great place to rule. That or Gondolin, Menegroth or Nargothrond. Now I would probably prefer to just LIVE in one of those realms, but if I must rule, it'd be one of those!

Not only the throne, [In reply to] Can't Post

but the whole tower-- i'd like to live in Orthanc (as it was when Gandalf first arrived-- although it would be cool to explore the caverns later dug by the orcs).

Ah, Orthanc. Brilliant idea! [In reply to] Can't Post

Nice to see a different point of view. Wink

I'd actually have loved to stand at the top of the tower (like in ROTK) and scan the borders up there... Smile

Gondor [In reply to] Can't Post

The throne room was pretty dull when Denethor was running the show, but I think that with Aragorn sprucing things up, that throneroom would be the place for a happening party. I imagine that the Riders of Rohan throw my kind of party, so I almost chose that throne. The tipping point in Gondor's favor for me was the better view from Minas Tirith when you step outside for some air.

However, if we're going for the seat itself, I'd have to imagine that I'd prefer sitting in any seat made by a hobbit.

Ah, Gondor. Indeed, there must be a lovely view there. Wink
