Noticed a shot of Kili's DOS (spoiler) during a spot in EE - screencap posted as a Reply Can't Post

There is a moment on the second disk of the appendices under the Bifur, Bofur and Bomber section where they show Jimmy PASSED out and you can hear Aidan making fun of him and when the camera turns to show Aidan you can clearly see the wound he will be suffering in DOS. The makeup people are touching up the blood on it during the brief scene. I just found it interesting since the whole Kili injury greatly intrigues me for the next movie.

I am guessing one of the spiders gets him pretty good. EL talks about a healing ritual and I am guessing that happens before they leave mirkwood

It's from an orc. [In reply to] Can't Post

During the live event thing back in March when we saw the scene on the boat Bilbo says "That is an orc wound". So i'd say it happens during the orc attack as they escape in barrels.

I noticed that. I can see why Bilbo was like "That's not a scratch! That's an orc wound" it looked nasty.
