Book to Movie Connections (Confirmed by Event) Can't Post

Hey folks! I've always been very interested in how PJ adapts Tolkien's work, and it warms my heart that many times he includes small details that fans like ourselves would squee over. Consider the cup, for example. The scene shown to audiences as well as the brief snippet from trailer #3 seemingly confirms the presence of Thror's cup (or a cup, which Tolkien unconsciouslly derived from Beowulf where a man steals a cup from a dragon and the dragon is stirred and angered). But what I am also interested in is what the song, trailer, footage shown and the live event itself tells us is actually in the film. In other words:
- Bilbo seems to use the ring during his conversation with Smaug at some point
- The conversation between Balin and Bilbo is in the film
- More dialogue either directly from or influenced by Tolkien (including the poem at Laketown rendered in a grim Bard version)

If you note any more, that would be fantastic. What I am mainly interested in, then, is seeing what little tidbits from the book are actually in the book (the EE of AUJ contains the bathing scene from post-Carrock, for example, only moved to Rivendell), but also suspicions about how the film is going to play out confirmed by all of this new hobbity goodness. Hope I'm making some sense!
