Who is your favourite character from the BBC Robin Hood Series? Can't Post

There are so many good characters in the series!

Little John, Sir Edward, Prince John and Richard Armitage's Guy of Gisborne are all among my favourites, but it's Keith Allen's delightfully evil Sheriff who steals the show in my opinion.

No contest - Sir Guy of Gisborne [In reply to] Can't Post

He completely stole the show for me (big surprise, right?). Great example of how Richard's performance elevated the material he had to work with, and got better and more nuanced as the series progressed.

The Sherriff just never clicked for me, came across as a little too silly and over the top. I did like Maid Marion and Allen A Dale too.

I am merely teasing, Kim - no-one can resist him.

Yes, tis an obvious question for certain of us ( w e know who we are)Wink To be honest, RA was the only reason that I watched the series. He so overshadowed Robin Hood himself imo, that it was embarrassing. The smirk, guy liner, leather were just icing on the cake together with RA's portrayal.

well... as far as character is concerned [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd say Robin Hood or Djaq.

If you were asking about actor, that might get you a different story.

but mostly for RA's performance.

All that aside ... as a character I love the quiet cleverness and intensity of Will Scarlett.

Sly I have three good reasons why I got this!

1. The dark and dangerous side.
2. The face we sympathise.
3. The adorable side of him (aka, one of his rare smiles)

Well, given that I watched the first two episodes... [In reply to] Can't Post

...then the when the third episode started and the title came up and I thought "Robin who?" , I'd have to say Sir Guy. He and the sheriff had some great moments too. It's too bad the actress playing Marian was so out-gunned by RA. He could have dialed back to almost zero and their scenes would still be painful for me to watch on her account. It's the difference between becoming the character and merely acting the emotion, I think.
