I am creating a google calender.... Requesting help. Can't Post

I am making it so that every day has a holiday, I am using Checkday.com, but it only gives the holidays that appear on a specific date, not ones that are on a specific day of the week on a certain month, like Hagfish day for instance. Does anyone know of ones that you like? Specific date or specific day of the month or weeklong event is fine. But I would like to hear peoples favorites :P Once the calender has at least one holiday for every day of the year, I am going to make it public so anyone can share the fun. I am on March right now, having completed october, november, and december 2013.

here is a great link [In reply to] Can't Post

Bizarre holidays

March 3rd - If Pets had Thumbs Day
January 20th - Penguin Awareness Day
April 7th - No Housework Day

and I love the fact that National Nude Day is the same day as National Pandemonium Day and Bastille Day - July 14th

It's fun to look and see what holiday shares your birthday too.

Enjoy!

If Pets had Thumbs Day! [In reply to] Can't Post

That's too much Laugh

I know of at least one shape-shifter who doesn't have to imagine what that's like Wink. Maybe a good tradition would be to read the Hobbit chapter "Queer Lodgings" every March 3!

And, of course, Hobbit day will be celebrated.... And every Geek/nerd pride day is up :P Excuses to talk about Tolkien!

Even when it is "Finished" I will still put any suggestions up.

I can do 31 digits [In reply to] Can't Post

thanks to the tune that assigns a note to each digit, going up the scale (1 is Do, 2 is Re and so on). The first 31 digits (as well as the first 3 before the decimal) make a very pleasing tune, and if you sing the name of the number with the note, it's really easy.

In high school I memorized 20 digits. I know lots of people know lots more. But that's what I was moved to do at the time.

On another note, wonder what obscure holiday it is today? No? Of course you do! That is why I have created This nifty little calender" to tell you! Enjoy. I take suggestions if I missed your favorite holiday.
