Smaug and Sauron *Possible Spoilers* (Pure Speculation) Can't Post

I just finished reading 'The Children of Hurin' and I have stumbled upon some possible relationships with the evil in it that could develop in 'The Hobbit' trilogy:
- Glaurung and Morgoth = Smaug and Sauron

As the ones who read the Children of Hurin may know, Glaurung is a servant of Morgoth by representing his power and destroying every last living being on Middle Earth and allowing Morgoth to increase his power and malice; so, my hypothesis is that Sauron may try to use Smaug (It might be implied) hence the line Gandalf uses in AUJ:
"The dragon could be used for terrible effect" As for it is used in 'Unfinished Tales' too. So, in my previous thread I discussed the possibility of Sauron using Azog and his orcs to regain his power with more ease, destroying the last of the beornings and slaying Thorin's Co. so they don't interfere between Sauron and Smaug's possible alliance, again, this is pure speculation.
What do you think?
