I wrote some additional waffle... [In reply to] Can't Post

because I have a bit of a yen for collecting vinyl (but only when it's stuff I really like).

Why not release the film on VHS too? [In reply to] Can't Post

Complete my Lord of the Rings VHS collection!

Interesting that they've done this. I'd like to hear it on audio Blu-ray, in surround sound. I've head the low ends on audio Blu-rays match the warmth of a vinyl in the way that regular CDs lack. But I guess not many people listen to music with discs anymore.

I buy CDs still... [In reply to] Can't Post

But I rip to 320kbps and listen to that. I'm probably 50% CDs, 40% digital and 10% vinyl.

If I was even more fussy, I'd rip to FLAC.

On vinyl? [In reply to] Can't Post

Fantastic! I wonder what the sleeve will look like!

This would be amazing to hear - and I've got the setup to transfer it from vinyl to cassette tape, for listening to it in my car...

(Yeah, some of us are rather old-fashioned! Laugh I've been given some iTunes gift cards, will someday have to figure out how to use them...)

I've bought two tapes this year [In reply to] Can't Post

For smaller artists -- especially in the ambient/experimental genre, it seems to be a Thing to record and release on cassette.

I will be getting the cd version but I could be tempted to get the vinyl just for collecting purposes.

the only tape i've seen for years [In reply to] Can't Post

Is the new Carcass album - surgical steel, but do not think that they have sold much of them. Vinyl is quite standard again, which is great!

I just hope it's the Standard Soundtrack. [In reply to] Can't Post

Not like the one we got last year.
That would mean the music of Shore will be treated as it was in LOTR... at least, I hope with all my heart.
Extended Soundtrack next year, please.
Thank you
:)

Awesome! [In reply to] Can't Post

With all these film soundtracks coming out on vinyl it's about time I sussed out a record-player. Again. Looks like it's time to go on a second-hand shop or antique shop hunt.

This tale grew in the telling. . .

you mean 1 CD instead of 2? unlikely, i think it will be standard 2CD and deluxe 2CD like AUJ, and LP.
