Walk to Rivendell and Beyond: There and Back Again Challenge! Can't Post

It's exercise, it's Middle Earth; it's another week on the Walk! We're a day late this week (my apology; I've been a bit under the weather). But how go your journeys? Are you swimming through the Three Hunters' great run, or running through rain in the Trollshaws with Bilbo and company? Biking down the Anduin or walking to the Prancing Pony? Oh, and the There and Back Again Challenge is still going, too! (See the link below for details)

My There and Back Again progress:
Miles covered this week: 8.5
Cumulative miles: 789
Goal: There and Back Again!

I've got some catching up to do with Beamer. With the cooler weather, I'm hoping to get outside and work in the garden this weekend. The leaves won't rake themselves, after all! And it would be nice to get out of Mirkwood before the next Hobbit movie premiere!

Beamer's progress:
Miles covered this week: 13
Cumulative miles: 807
Goal: There and Back Again!

The extra dance classes at school really got Beamer moving during first quarter. They're done now, though, so she just has to one dance class each week, plus P.E.

Many people busy this times of year [In reply to] Can't Post

I hope you get better, Arandiel. There is a lot to do this time of year, so I'm not surprized many people haven't posted lately.

I'm still 40 miles away from getting to the Ford of Bruinen. But I'm finally passed the Trolls. The weather has just turned cool this week here and a bit wet.

I still have many pictures to share from my vacation the previous week. ...And yes I will continue to bug y'all with 'em. Plus a repeat from last week I can't believe got no comment.

But first the miles:

Challenge Miles: 349.75
Total miles: 429.85
This week: 11.67
Yet to go: 617.25

A smile from Lichenbeard, TreeBeard's even slower moving cousin.

And a little camoflaged special:

Keep walking, but don't forget to look around while you do.

'There is some woe that lies upon you... Why will you not tell me more?'
'For that woe is past,' said Galadriel; 'and I would take what joy is here left, untroubled by memory. And maybe there is woe enough yet to come, thought still hope may seem bright.'

I hop you're feeling better :} [In reply to] Can't Post

There's a lot of cruddy-stuff going around... so it's hard not to catch something. I hope you feel better VERY SOON!

It is getting cooler out, so I've been shingling my garage like a maniac. I had to put finishing my Hobbit Hole side of the roof on hold while I shingled the other side of the roof... all one colour. *yawn* But it gave me some great mileage this past week and I'm done enough to feel like I can let winter do its thing until I can do repairs in the Spring. Found rotted fascia the full length of that side, but it'll have to wait for warmer weather.

I also did some fall-colour walks... so I did pretty good this week

Miles covered: 51 miles
Cumulated miles: 2665
Goal: #2 Unexpected Journey Individual Challenge and contributing to the Group :)

Beamer's doing so well! It sounds like she love dancing... which is very cool :D

Take care everyone... and I'll see you on the Road! Thanks for taking such good care of us, Arandiel! FEEL BETTER!
