Who wins?
****************************************** I met a Balrog on the stair, He had some wings that weren't there. They weren't there again today, I wish he would just fly away.

Gandalf is reluctant to get flashy with his magic while Thor breaks out the hammer (as it were) at any opportunity.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Gandalf is a legitimate angelic being, while Thor (at least in the movies) is just an alien from a super-advanced culture in space. Granted, Thor does a lot of damage. But if Gandalf comes back, that is moot. Have you really killed it thoroughly if it comes back for more killing? Then again, I can't really see Thor finding a reason to pick a fight with Gandalf in the first place...
"I had forgotten that. It is hard to be sure of anything among so many marvels. The world is all grown strange. Elf and Dwarf in company walk in our daily fields; and folk speak with the Lady of the Wood and yet live; and the Sword comes back to war that was broken in the long ages ere the fathers of our fathers rode into the Mark! How shall a man judge what to do in such times?" "As he ever has judged. Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves and another among Men. It is a man's part to discern them, as much in the Golden Wood as in his own house."

Thors better looking!!! But I feel like I could sit down with a good cup of tea with Gandalf and talk for hours There seems to be more mystery veiling Gandalf, more to him. Has anyone ever Posted: Gollum versus Gollum in the arena?

As Tolkien employed some of the visuals of the wandering Odin for Gandalf and Gandalf has wisdom, experience and magic on his side, I say thee nay on Thor and yay for Gandalf.
