Uh... [In reply to] Can't Post

Most likely the Witch king theme, or new Dol Guldur theme, these Orcs are not from Isengard.

Just noticed that there are siege towers in the background [In reply to] Can't Post

Could they be on their way to Thranduil's Halls? I assume that is the place that Azog is seen arriving at.

Battle of Dol Guldur [In reply to] Can't Post

I think they are heading out to meet the Elven army with the White Council and Thranduil.

I keep my fingers crossed Gandalf will fight the Necromancer in this movie, because he is IN DOL GULDUR, would be so WEIRD not to show the Necromancer a second time. Would be so lame if the Necromancer is just hiding himself from Gandalf, playing some kind of hide & seek. But never revealing himself.

You can see Gandalf running in a tunnel and then turns around fast and slashes with his staff. And then immediatley the Eye of Sauron is shown for 1 second. So my guess is that Gandalf is indeed battling the Necromancer. Cool

I am so hyped for this movie! 2 months left!

Those "siege towers" [In reply to] Can't Post

are in fact the ruins of Dol Duldur.

Pretty sure about that.

Another possibility [In reply to] Can't Post

If these Orcs were taking part in the assault on Dol Guldur then they wouldn't need to be marching out--they are the defenders. It seems more likely that they are being sent to Erebor (led by Bolg?) to reinforce the goblins gathering for the Battle of the Five Armies.

Those were my thoughts, too [In reply to] Can't Post

Something like that:

Gandalf and Radagast find out, that S***** troops orcs and other evil around DG.
It leads to a fight and Gandalf gets captured. Or hurt in some way.
Radagast is observing the march-out of the troops and tells the White Council.

In Part Three there doesn't have to be a massive battle.
The White Council defeats the Necromancer in some magical way and save Gandalf. And Gandalf hurries after the troops to Erebor.

And the rest is clashing down DG.

Something like that, maybe... Unsure

I wouldn't like [In reply to] Can't Post

the idea that this army is marching to Erebor because goblins and wargs should attack Erebor from the north and west, not south. Probably you are right though but I would still rather see that this army playing part in battle for Dol Guldur and is fighting against Elves and Wizards. I wonder though if we will see Mount Gundabad, the main place of the orcs and goblins in the North and the original starting points of the army participating in the Battle of the Five Armies.

These are more akin to heavily armed and armored Mordor type orcs ... not goblins of the misty mountains.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
